Constructive dismissal occurs when you are not directly terminated by your employer, but your employer suddenly or frequently makes substantial changes to your employment agreement to put you in a position to either choose to accept the changers to your employment agreement or to quit.
Significant changes can include, amongst other things, changes to your salary, a demotion, changes to your benefits, and changes to the term of your employment. If you do not accept the significant changes, and you quit your job within a reasonable period of time, then you may be entitled to compensation for constructive dismissal.
